Rockstar Drops Second GTA VI Trailer, Showcasing PS5 Gameplay

The announcement came just days after the fact the announcement that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on May 26th 2026, Rockstar Games has unveiled the GTA VI second trailer official for the popular open-world action game which is among the most expensive games ever produced. The footage was shot entirely on a PlayStation 5, the new footage gives a new glimpse of the game's intricate environment, a refined PS5 gameplay and a more enlightened narrative.

Based on the excitement generated in the initial trailer that was released in 2023, the next trailer is a shift in focus to the larger location of Leonida which is Rockstar's version of Florida. Vice City, in particular appears more lively than ever before, with crowded roads, sparkling beaches and action scenes that make powerful impressions.

It also gives us more time with the game's lead characters, Lucia GTA VI and her partner Jason, hinting at a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style storyline filled with heists, getaways, and commentary on American life, all wrapped in Rockstar's signature satirical tone.

The trailer's visuals showcases major improvements for the next generation that range from better lighting and animations to stunningly detail-rich environments and character models. Although Rockstar hasn't announced any specific special PlayStation-specific features yet, the strong PlayStation appearance implies that Sony could have specials that are timed or have other benefits.

GTA 6 is slated for release in 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The release date for a PC as well as Switch 2 version is still not confirmed.
